12 week checkup

So we went in for our second Dr. visit at 12 weeks and 2 days.  I have to admit I was a bit scared that something may be wrong and the babies wasn't growing or something. My Dr. had told me at my first Dr. visit that I would be showing when I came back for my second visit and I really wasn't showing...well I didnt think so anyway!  I went in and had only gained a pound.  I was proud of myself for only gaining a pound in the first trimester with twins considering I had gained a lot more then that with my daughter BUT with my daughter I ate anything and everything I could get my hands on and with this pregnancy I have really watched what I eat...I eat a lot more fruit with this pregnancy.  Im pretty proud of myself must I say but Im sure I will put the weight on in my second trimester.  Well I just really wanted to hear the heartbeats and know the babies was OK!  I ended up having the NT scan and by the tech she said the fluid was thin which was a good sign.  I will get my results in a week!  Everything looked great and babies were bouncing everywhere. Its such a relief just to heart those sweet heartbeats!!

I now have a sinus infection or a cold which I cant take anything for and it kills me!  I hope this goes away soon!!

9 weeks

So I started into my 9th week pregnancy with the twins yesterday and still feeling a little nauseous every now and then and did I mention always hungry!  I'm so dreading to see this belly get big!  My back is hurting today and it scares me because my sciatic nerve absolutely killed me when I was pregnant with my daughter and now that I have two babies in there I feel its going to be twice as painful.  The chiropractor was my best friend when I was pregnant with Kenley.  Geez, I just pray this back pain will be over tomorrow (awful early for back pain now). My hormones are all out of wack and hopefully after this first trimester I will be a different person and have more energy.  Yay, only a few more weeks to go in the first trimester.

Continue to pray for me and the 2 precious babies growing inside me.  Its a blessing what God can do...

Our first ultrasound

We went to the Dr. on 12-2-2011 (7weeks,4days) along.  We had an ultrasound right away and as soon as I seen a picture on the monitor I though "OMGoodness...that looks like two sacs" but I didnt say anything because I didnt see anything (a baby) inside the sacs and just thought maybe that was something else she was looking at.  Then we seen the baby and she said "baby looks great and heart rate is 158" I immediately though GIRL because Kenley's heart rate was 156 when I was 10 weeks pregnant with her.  I was a little upset because I want a boy so bad...and my husband seems to think he cant produce boys, lol.  After that the tech kept looking around and then said "oh, there is two babies in there".  I could not believe what she just said.  I said "WHAT??"...she said yep baby number two looks good and the heart rate was 145.  I about died.  I didnt know what to think about it and thought...how am I going to do this!  I had all the emotions in the world.  I didnt know to cry or laugh.  It was such a shock to my husband and I both.  I asked my husband what he done to me and if he was mad, upset, happy or sad...and his reaction was "Im happy but...lol". I then told him my tubes are for sure getting tied.  We didnt know how we was going to manage this.  I done had it planned that I was going to watch what I eat and walk with this pregnancy because I didnt with my first pregnancy and thought...well forget that.  Ill be as fat as a cow.  We ended up just talking to the Dr. after the ultrasound and she was just going over "twin pregnancy".  They didnt do any blood work or anything because I think they though the shock we had for the day was enough. So I sent a picture to my mom's phone of the 2 sacs and she said she didnt see anything.  I told her it was 2 sacs, 2 babies...TWINS and she replied back telling me not to mess with her that was not funny.  I told her I was dead serious.  She cried all morning long full of joy.  We called our family on the way home to share the shocked news and nobody believed us.  Everyone seemed more excited then me but it's growing on me.  I go back to the Dr. the first week in January and Ill be 12 weeks...more to come then.

Finding out we we're pregnant

Our daughter is three now so my husband and I decided it was time to try for another child and this would be our last pregnancy and our family would be complete.  I had the mirena and had it taken out and started trying for baby number two soon after.  With out daughter, Kenley..it only took us one cycle to conceive her but coming off the mirena it took us 4 months to conceive our second child.  I was 3 days from having my period to start and my husband was going out of town to work all week so I decided to take a test before we went out on the road.  I took the test and it was quickly turning colors and I ran out of the room and told him to go read it.  He's reply was "haha, thats definitely a positive".  We were both filled with excitement and of course I wanted to tell "someone" the good news.  We waited until the next day and went and told our families....well, our daughter told everyone she was going to be a big sister.  :)
